Lego Batman 2 contains the quirky Lego action you're used to. Smashing things, finding collectibles and unlocking characters has always been a surprisingly fun grind in Lego games.

Adding voice to the mix enables a new original adventure that doesn't require you to know every spec of dust from previous stories to understand what's going on. The chapters are small and on-the-go-friendly.

Justice league is an arena style mode that slightly prolongs the life of the game.

This is a port of the 3DS version and a really bad one at that. The visuals are bland and the cut scenes are horribly compressed. The kind of artifacts you see in these scenes belongs to an era long gone and has nothing to do on a screen like the Vitas.

Being a port of an already small game, there are more ways that this game doesn't do the Vita justice. While collectibles are still intact, there's not exactly a lot of them. Getting all the characters and unlocking the few red bricks around is done in a very short time, plus the fact that there are no gold bricks to discover. The levels are really short, suffers from boring level design and the fun of sprawling shiny Lego bits whenever you smash something is nowhere to be seen with the lack of objects to destroy and the lackluster debris they leave behind. Add to the fact that the game has a tiny, empty hub instead of the open world Gotham city from its big brother and no fun puzzles to solve, this game is not worth the $40 price point it launched at. It's simply a lazy port.

While original, the story in Lego Batman 2 Vita isn't particularly fun or exciting.
