PlayStation gives their current gen hardware lineup the 30th anniversary treatment

Up for a new old color scheme? In the mood for some new hardware? PlayStation keeps pumping out stuff for their 30th anniversary celebration, and today they announced a slew of current and upcoming hardware in the good old PS1 gray colors.

The top prize might be the bundles based on the current PS5 digital version and the upcoming PS5 Pro respectively.
The Pro bundle is a beast that will give you the console, a regular DualSense, a DualSense Edge, a charging station, vertical stand and a console cover for the disk drive (disk drive not included unfortunately). All of these themed with the classic color scheme. You also get a neat controller cable that references the PS1 cable, cable ties, sticker, poster and a paper clip. The only thing bigger than this bundle will probably be the price point which is yet to be detailed. The bundle is limited to 12 300 units so it’s going to be rough getting one if people haven’t been scared away by the cost.

The PS5 digital bundle is a little bit more sparse and comes with the regular DualSense, the console cover for the disk drive and the assortment of collectibles. Again colored accordingly, of course.

The PlayStation Portal has been selling fairly good, but if you haven’t jumped on the band wagon yet or fancy yourself a classically colored one next to the current version, this will also be up for grabs.

Good news for those not ready to go for the bundle is that the controllers will also be available individually. The collection will be released on November 21 and made available through PlayStation Direct and select retailers in countries where Direct doesn’t exist.
