I was once a soldier, then I took a shovel to the face. That could be your story in Battlefield 1, the next iteration in the slightly popular franchise. The World War 1 themed shooter brings you to the trenches in the western front, the golden deserts of Arabia and up, up and away in the alps of Italy.
As expected, the game will support 64 players, a whole lot of air and land vehicles including biplanes, tanks, motorcycles and a very, very large blimp. There’s also a horse in the trailer. Horses are cool. Whether you want to hit someone with a shovel, poke another with a bayonet or mace someone in the head, there will be those and other more shoot-y weapons to choose from. Also: Flamethrowers.
The campaign will tell the story of multiple characters, so expect to be play a varied cast of characters and their stories.
Battlefield 1 will be out on October 21st this year.
