Been having a itch for some portable Worms action? Fear not, as that itch will be scratched later this year with the release of Worms Revolution Extreme on Vita. The game, previously released on PS3 last October, will feature local and online multiplayer for up to 4 people, and a single player campaign spanning 47 missions and 25 puzzles. Included with the game is also the Mars, Funfair and Medieval DLC making this a more complete package than its PS3 counterpart.
New to this version is Treasure mode. A cross-gifting feature that enables you to collect keys for 10 treasures by meeting certain requirements in offline and online modes. These keys can be used on the corresponding chests on someone elses PS3/Vita system for unlocks. Support for this will be patched into the PS3 version at a later point. Support for cross-save has also been confirmed.
No date is set, but communications exec Bethany Aston from Team17 has offered Q3 2013 as the preliminary date.
