Susan Sarandon joins cast as voice talent for Dishonored

Making her debut in a video game, Susan Sarandon, is playing the role of Granny Rags, a former aristocrat of Dunwall. Portraiting a blind, deranged and homeless woman seems like a great fit for the talanted Academy award-winner.

Chloë Grace Moretz (Known from Kick Ass and Hugo) voices Emily Kaldwin, the rightful heir to the throne of Gristol. She plays the role of a young girl who had her birthright stolen from her in a coup.

Also joing the Hollywood cast are Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill), Carrie Fisher (Star Wars, Family Guy), Brad Dourif (The Lord of the Rings), and John Slattery (Mad Men).

President of Arkane Studios, Raphaël Colantonio, had this to say about the stellar cast:

Having such talented actors voice Dishonored’s compelling cast of characters adds a rich, powerful element to the game, we want to draw people into this virtual world and make it feel real. This celebrated cast adds wonderful depth and credibility to the overall Dishonored gameplay experience.

Hm, a bunch of people I like. Interesting. Not sold on the game yet, but having these people involved might warrant a good story to go with it.

I’m in the same boat, the game looks stunning, no doubt about that, and the steampunky vibe it has is a perfect fit. I also get sort of a Half Life feel when watching the gameplay videos.
