Capcom made a lot of people a wee bit excited when they announced Remember Me earlier this year. The footage you can dive into by clicking on the rather obvious picture on the right will show you the uncut Gamescom gameplay demo and it will last you about 10 minutes.
In it you can enjoy things like mad men with big toys, a rainy future Paris and some rather clunky looking combat. While it looks pretty enough and the plot seems all kinds of cool, I can’t help but cringe a bit at the stiff animation. Let’s hope that protagonist Nilin will loosen up by the time the game releases.
Check out our Remember Me page for a good chunk of screenshots, trailers and news. Remember Me is due sometime next year.
I don’t know what it is, but this game does nothing for me, maybe its the style that feels too generic.
I think part of the reason is that the game looks a lot like they took a bunch of things that were done really well in various games, and half-assed into their own game. It’s like a best-of album mixed together by a tone deaf person. Hopefully this is just some very early footage that will be polished. A lot. I like the premise though, and I’m a sucker for the action sequences where stuff goes into slow-mo, fancy camera angles and all that jazz, but right now … no.
