The new story trailer for The Last of Us Part II leaves hope at the door in favor of darkness

I don’t know if there will be a moment of serenity like that moment from the first game where there’s animals and a glimmer of hope, in The Last of Us Part II. Based purely on the 2 minutes and 19 seconds below, it seems to lean heavily on grief, despair and agony. The Last of Us Part II is 6 weeks away, the internet is flooded with spoilers from last week’s leaked footage, but I’ll be sitting here rocking back and forth in anticipation of the road ahead avoiding it all until then.

Have a look, but don’t expect to be cheered up.
