PlayStation Vue is shutting down

PlayStation’s attempt at changing the way we experience TV is screeching to a halt come January 30.

The service, which has been live for 4 years, is shutting down because – according to John Kodera of SIE – lack of change in the established pay tv industry.

You can still rent and buy movies as well as watch shows through dedicated apps on PS4, but if you turned your console into your dedicated tv box, you’re out of luck.

The full announcement can be found on the PlayStation Blog.
