Watch Norman Reedus pee, hang out with Geoff Keighley, fall off a cliff and comfort a baby, all in the span of 6 minutes

The bromance is strong in this one. Geoff Keighley had bff Hideo Kojima on the stage at last night’s Gamescom opening show, and the last 25 minutes were all dedicated to Death Stranding. There were to new character spotlights which you can check out on the game page, but there was also an extended gameplay trailer which showed off some … peculiar things.

First of all, there is a pee mechanic in the game. If you thought you could turn the camera around to get closer to the action, the game will have none of that and will simply pan sideways as Norman’s character avoids you at all costs. Sorry. Next to established faces and characters was also the reveal that Geoff Keighley will have a cameo in the game. You can find him in what looks like a trading station. They don’t use his voice, but they definitely strapped him into some face scanning equipment.

The last part of the extended look has Norman elegantly fall off a cliff, which in turn makes the baby grumpy. There is of course a separate mechanic to comfort the baby, but also one to stumble down a hill without falling on your face. This begs the question, what other ludicrous mechanics or amusing cameos can we expect in Death Stranding? I guess we will know on November 8.
