Detroit: Become Human has a release date and features spectacular consequences for your choices

David Cage sure has a lot of stuff to say about Detroit: Become Human, and I’ll let you read all of it on the PS Blog, but let’s just say that he’s very, very hyped for their game.

In Detroit, you play as 3 different characters (androids), all of which start to experience the weird sensation that is feelings. It’s up to you how to play this out through branching story lines and scenes that you will or will not see depending on your choices. In other words, it still sounds very much like a Quantic Dream game.

Your own characters as well as those you meet, might just bugger off and die within a choice or two if you pick poorly. David hopes for reflection and discussion around their next title, which in his own words, is their most ambitious yet. While at its core it’s very much about AI and androids, the game has sparked controversy by depicting scenes of domestic violence, and I’m sure, other topics that could cause equal amounts of chatter later on. We’ll all get to see and experience that once the game is out on May 25.
