Star Wars Battlefront 2 launches with a single-player campaign and 3 eras of multiplayer laser-tag

There’s no better place than a Star Wars Celebration event to properly announce the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront 2, is there? The Dice/Motive/Criterion collaboration will dish out what seems to be healthy sequel that not only delves into three eras of Star Wars, but also adds a single-player campaign, space combat and characters across all three trilogies.

The single-player campaign is a fictional take on the events between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, and includes made-up characters and events that, according to EA, will fit nicely into everything Star Wars. Multiplayer will bring 40 player battles across new locations with new characters and vehicles.

The trailer below is using the game engine, but you might want to temper your expectations for the final result when it comes out November 17 this year (but you’ll probably see a beta before that).
