The next Call of Duty goes into space and, well, space

In the famous words of class actor Tim Curry: SPACE! That’s where we’re headed in the next Call of Duty, titled Infinite Warfare, which was very hard to write because all I wanted to actually type was Infinity Wars for some reason. This time around it’s Infinity Ward at the helm of development and the game will be out November 4th.

Anyway, the story of Infinite Warfare takes place in what Activison deem a plausible future in which all natural resources are gone from earth and we’re relying on colonies in the vast space that is space. But that’s no picnic either, as The Front, short for The Settlement Defense Front, is also in the search for resources – although with a lot less friendly approach. What his means is that you’ll be running and gunning on earth as much as you’ll be flying your ship called Jackal into space where you’ll blow up other ships and break people’s necks. Can you hear a neck snap in space? I wonder.

As with any Call of Duty, there will be multiplayer and there will be zombies.

If you’re the pre-ordering kind of guy you might be happy to hear that Activision is throwing in a remaster of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Yes, that Call of Duty. It will be in glorious HD with nicer textures, HDR lighting and physically based rendering among other things. It will feature 10 maps for the multiplayer and might just be trump the Call of Duty news of the day.

Which one are you looking forward the most to?
