Driveclub gets a hardcore mode in February

I’m gonna be upfront about it, I’m horrible at Driveclub. Which is why I won’t touch this mode at all. But for the players out there already mastering every inch of every track with every vehicle, this might be for you. With hardcore mode enabled assists like traction control and stability control will be turned off. Actually, every assist will be turned off. There’s no cherry-picking what you want disabled – either you go hardcore or you go … home.

This will probably create a whole new dynamic in the game considering new break distances, handling and the resulting slower driving, but there won’t be a separate leaderboard for this mode so don’t expect to be anywhere near the top on time trials. The mode will be available in both single- and multiplayer races, but is limited to cars as of now. It’s still safe to drive a bike.

The update hits sometime in February so I look forward to either see you spin out of control or watch you be absolutely mental (brilliant) in it. Time to prove yourself.
