The Ghost is dead, long live the Ghost. North to replace Dinklage in Destiny

As you may have noticed, there wasn’t really a lot of Ghost action in the recent expansions for Destiny. Actually, there was none. In many ways Dinklage defined the beginning of Destiny. It’s hard to know what to blame or praise, but Dinklage’s performance and the lines he delivered garnered both laughter and face palms. It was hardly Dinklage alone to fault for its poorly executed story, but for a character so in the midst of all the action, he sure made an impact on how players perceived the story.

When The Taken King surfaces next month, it is with Ghost playing a central part and Nolan North voicing him. Not only has Nolan North replaced Peter Dinklage for all future Ghost performances, but he has also re-recorded every single line up to and including The Taken King to create a unified experience for new players or those starting another character. So if you were a fan of Dinklage’s iconic performance you might want to put your nostalgia hat on in time for the biggest expansion in Destiny.

We wanted Nolan North’s version of the Ghost to wake you up at the start of the journey at level one and follow you all the way to level forty.Luke Smith, creative director
