Play Just Cause 3 and win an actual island because why wouldn’t you

That’s the dream, right? To own an island? Well now you can, sort of. Maybe.

By buying the day 1 edition of Just Cause 3, signing up and then proceed to play a LOT of it to earn chaos points, you could potentially end up winning an island. Chaos points are earned by going bonkers in the game in every way possible. The more creative you are, the more points you earn. You’ll have 90 days to rank up points from its release on December 1st.

As with most insane prices there are caveats and limitations to take into consideration. First of all the competition is only open to residents of United States (including the District of Columbia, excluding Puerto Rico), Mexico , Chile and Canada (excluding Quebec). Poor Quebecians. Second, the winner is responsible for all necessary fees related to obtaining the island. Third, there’s no guarantee that you can use the island in any way, or even get to or on it. It could be inhabitable, it could contain dinosaurs, it could be a disaster. What we DO know is that it’s worth about $50 000 and you can get that cash instead if you so choose. If you’re from Mexico that’s actually your only choice.

Regardless, I guess it’s okay to run around and tell people you own an island though, so why not? You can get all the details here, but do read the rules, there’s a lot to take in.
