Update 2.50 codenamed “Yukimura” outlined by Sony

The alleged screenshots stopped being that and just became true as Sony has outlined the upcoming changes for their 2.50 update codenamed “Yukimura”. As previously mentioned the suspend/resume mode is indeed a part of the update, making it possible to enter rest mode while playing a game and thus letting you get right back into it when you resume. The downside? Titles have to support this feature, which is understandable in for example an MMO or other online games.

Other features to be included in the update:

· Sub-account to master account upgrade: Sub-accounts can be upgraded to master accounts from your PS4 when you turn 18, enabling some of the gated features.

· Facebook friend search: Enables the ability to search for PSN-connected Faceobook friends.

· Remote Play & Share Play at 60 fps: Stream or record at 60fps.

· Accessibility Options: Text-to-speech, bigger fonts, high contrast, zoom and color inversion among other things. Button remapping also implemented as rumored.

· Trophy Improvements: PS4 will now take a screenshot at the moment of earning a trophy. Additional sorting options and the ability to hide 0% games also a thing. Yay for those ashamed.

· Share Video Clips to Dailymotion: Dailymotion is the next place to which you can share your clips.

As usual there’s probably a thing or two left out from the announcement which I’m sure will be revealed later. Check out the full announcement here.
