Ninja Theory announces Hellblade – I say bring it on

As a fan of Ninja Theory’s style and games, it’s hard not to get a tiny bit giddy about the announcement of Hellblade. Enslaved holds a special place in my heart, and Heavenly Sword would too if I didn’t have to fling those awful flying discs at triggers all the time.

Our heroine looks a bit like Kai from Heavenly Sword, and the connection might seem obvious with how Hellblade is the exact opposite of Heavenly Sword, but who knows (Ninja Theory does)? What we do know is that we’ll get a combat heavy narrative driven adventure that promises the quality of AAA-titles while still being indy in terms of being self-published and to some degree, scope. Ninja Theory admits it’s an early reveal, but the reasoning behind is to present an open and transparent development process. You can follow this process on their blog among other places.

Check out the announcement trailer below and tell us what you think of it.
