The Last of Us remastered coming to PS4 – 1080p, 60fps and more

The official reveal of The Last of Us for PS4 didn’t exactly come as a shocker, but it is a nice “surprise” for old and new fans to be able to play a remastered version of the game this summer.

This new version will be in 1080p, targeted at 60fps and come packed with higher resolution character models and improved shadows and lighting among other things. Also included is the Left Behind DLC as well as the Abandoned Territories multiplayer map pack and Reclaimed Territories pack. As icing on the cake you will also get director’s commentary on all in-game cinematics. Great news for those who love that kind of thing.

For those hooked on the multiplayer, your progress will not carry over, so if you’re eager to continue your progress you might want to stick with multiplayer on your PS3.

More details about the changes made in the remastered version will come, and there are also heaps of pre-order bonuses available, some of which you can read about on the PlayStation Blog.

Are you ready for another go at last year’s best game?
