Brilliant looking Murasaki Baby confirmed for North America

As I fondly dabble in the memories of Gamescom, two games stood out to me in the midst of the chaos that unfolded: Octodad and Murasaki Baby. I tried these games in a somewhat private space where I had all the time in the world to play them. I can see how it might have been a bummer to North American fans though, to not get any official word on a release across the pond. But fear not, it’s coming.

Murasaki Baby is developed by Ovosonico, a team based in Italy. It’s a side scrolling 2D adventure with a truly enjoyable art style and unobtrusive touch controls. It’s also damn charming.

In the game, Baby wakes up in a dream world, envisioned by a child’s fantastical imagination and populated by weird and wonderful characters. In her hand is a purple heart-shaped balloon. She has lost her mommy, and it’s the player’s role to be her guardian. Take her hand, and guide her on a fantastic journey through the nightmarish land.Michael Pulst, Associate Producer, SCEA
