Uncompressed textures, Assassin Ray and PS4-exclusive features in next-gen Rayman Legends

Rayman Legends brings the love to PS4 next month and it includes a few nifty improvements to its stellar gameplay. You might think that the game looks pretty rad already, but the PS4 edition promises to enhance this with uncompressed textures. The loading time before and after levels is also greatly reduced thanks to the added horse power. Good times all around according to the Ubisoft blog.

Platform exclusive features comes in the form of touch pad utilization. It will allow you freeze the game to enter a camera mode. This mode will let you use the touch pad to navigate the screen, zoom in on your favorite details and then share the image if you are so inclined. The touch pad will also be used to scratch lucky tickets in the game, which will output the scratching sound through the controller’s speaker. It might not be the most fantastic thing in the world, but it sure is adorable.

Also exclusive to PS4 is a character based on Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag’s Edward Kenway, called Assassin Ray. Should be a hoot for fans of both franchises. Like other PS4 titles, this game will of course support remote play from the Vita.

Rayman Legends will is out February 18 in North America and February 20 in Europe for the PS4. Are you getting it?
