Killzone: Shadow Fall season pass detailed – at least six expansion packs coming

Are you ready for some Killzone: Shadow Fall multiplayer? I sure hope so! I played a couple of maps (check out the trailer below) at Gamescom and it was a quite good. As with most games these days – and specifically those containing a multiplayer mode – there will be a season pass to cover the continuous flow of DLC. Shadow Fall is no different, and for £15.99/€19.99/$19.99 you’ll get access to at least 6 planned chunks of content. It’s important to note that regular multiplayer maps released after launch are free of charge.

What you do have to pay for is – among other things – a cooperative horde mode for up to 4 players. This mode features new unlocks and four new arena maps. An additional 6 maps split over 3 packs will be released for this mode down the line. A couple of multiplayer expansion packs will also be released, but these are not detailed yet. Ideally they won’t be maps since, well, those are free, but I’m sure you can expect new modes, unlocks and features. Eager players who buy the pass on day one will be rewarded with an exclusive OWL combat drone skin and a unique multiplayer spotlight move. Sounds fancy. The horde mode does not support split screen and there are currently no plans to add this.
