High Definition visuals bring one of your favorite childhood memories into adulthood. Character animations are simple yet detailed beyond anything you can remember from the original game. 3D backdrops with some basic textures work well with the overlay of 2D characters for a fun pogo jumping time through many locations.

Added sections and voice acting complete the experience. These fill in many holes of the original and play out exactly as cheesy as an episode of DuckTales truly would. The new tutorial not only introduces you to the basic two actions, but also gives us even more time with our beloved Beagle Boys. Boss battles have been a expanded to give us a little more than the basic 3-hit and done.

Level music has been redone well for the most part and brings back all those memories of these adventures with a fresh infusion of some more modern sounds. There is an 8-bit music option too, so try playing it with the classic soundtrack. It's a great way to really notice the changes.

Tons of great artwork and music to unlock. Although it does seem weird for Scrooge to waste his money on such things at such high a price.

Enemy hit boxes are very problematic. If you don't land dead center with your pogo jump on an enemy you have a very good chance of them hurting you. Same can be said about pogo jump. Get a good pogo jump going and you can find yourself at a dead stop because you wanted to pogo closer to the side of some object. Hard pogo (NES pogo where you press down and the action button) is really hit and miss. When you know you are properly hitting the combination of buttons for the pogo jump you end up more times than not with no pogo jump. Trying both analog and D-pad had the same painful results. This takes away any desire to even try the Expert Mode of the game which is a true NES play with no saves.

As fun as the updated soundtrack is, you will end up gagging when you hear dubstep in your Transylvania adventure.
