Less than 3 years after SOCOM 4 released and barely 4 years after the launch of MAG, the days of multiplayer in these games plus SOCOM: Confrontation ends on January 28th, 2014 according to a tweet from PlayStation.
This means that if you’ve been planning to platinum any of the titles above you better get moving. I’ve never been a SOCOM fan, but had high hopes for MAG which was a great idea somewhat poorly executed. My hours in the game can probably be counted on two hands so I’m in no position to complain, but I’m sure it must be frustrating for people still playing it. It’s definitely sooner that I thought it would be, particuarly for MAG and SOCOM 4, but game statistics might indicate otherwise.
I guess we’re ready for a new MAG then?
Advisory: Online multiplayer services for MAG, SOCOM Confrontation, and SOCOM 4 will be ending on 01/28/14
