N4G has spoken, PS4 will dominate next generation

What better barometer is there to poll the next generation consoles than the gaming news and rumor site N4G. Mere days after the big E3 press conferences, news from the big 3 – Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo is out, but all 11 hottest news stories on N4G are about the PS4, PS4 games or PS4 services.

As if this wasn’t enough all the games at their “Hottest Games” top-10 list are Sony franchises or can be played on PS3 or PS4. The PS4 is still trashing the Xbox One in The Battle of the Next Gen over at Gamespot holding a secure lead with 79% over 21%.

The PS4 couldn’t get a better start to the next generation race. The console was announced at a $100 lower price point than the Xbox One, it’s supposed to have the edge technology/spec-wise and is 65% smaller in physical size as well.

Microsoft is rumored to have secured $1 Billion for exclusive games for Xbox One such as Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive, Titanfall and Dead Rising 3 which might seem like an arrogant way of securing market share. At the same time independent developers are seemingly choosing PS4 as their preferred platform because it’s a better eco-system for self-publishing.

Either way this turns out, this holiday season will be a crazy time for gamers.
