Remember that Super Mario Bros clone back in 1987 called Great Giana Sisters on the Commodore 64? It was a pretty basic 2D side-scrolling game in which the player controls either Mario, I mean Giana or her sister Luigi, I mean Maria.
All these years later Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams (previously called Project Giana) is reborn as a platform game developed by Black Forest Games. It looks reminiscent of the rich and detailed art style of Trine 2.
The game was funded through a successful Kickstarter (which I can happily admit I contributed for!) currently exceeding it’s goal by more than $35,000.
The game will be out in October for PC and PS3 in 2013. Check out the beautiful screens at our game page.
